Gretna FC (2008) 3 Preston Athletic 2

Another valuable 3 points as Gretna hang on for the win after coming from a goal down. Preston Athletic started the better and took the lead through Josh McGonigle inside 15 minutes, but were to pay for their missed chances as Gretna Fc levelled through Brandon Longcake with a cheeky goal as he chipped the oncoming keeper from just inside the area. Then with the half coming to a close a nice move by Gretna setup Iain Anderson who rounded the keeper to fire home, half time 2-1

The second half was much the same with Preston pushing for the equaliser, but just couldn't break down the Gretna defence and they were hit buy a quick counter attack. A brilliant last ditch challenge by Alan Ingles to break down a Preston attack and setup what was a great move that ended with Iain Anderson firing Gretna further ahead . Preston did make a late fightback with a brilliant strike.
