Iain Anderson brought the sun back from Ibiza
with a double strike to set Gretna on the victory path at Lochburn Park. But it
was Vinnie Parker in the hoops’ goal that provided the heroics to ensure all
three points came back to Raydale.
Kieran O’Hear gave the Maryhill side an early
lead which rounded off a frantic opening ten minutes when BSC peppered the
Gretna goal.
However against the run of play Anderson made
himself some space 25 yards out and drove the ball past Wilton in the home goal
to level the scores, and it was Anderson again, with 5 minutes left in the
first half to put the Borderers in front with another well-taken strike..
Gretna stretched further ahead in the second
half when Connor Graham pounced 5 minutes in to make it 1-3 and Brandon
Longcake wrapped things up with 20 minutes remaining. A McKinnon goal for the
homesters proved to be no more than a consolation and with Home red-carded for
a foul on Loncake the match ended 2-4.
