Mid-Annandale 0-2 Gretna FC 2008 King Edward Park, Lockerbie

Gretna engaged cruise control for this pre-season friendly against South of Scotland League side, Mid-Annandale.
It took only eight minutes for new signing Dean Douglas to open the signing with a finely taken goal. Mids actually had the ball in the net ten minutes later but the linesman’s flag was up. Scott Milligan bundled the ball over the line in the 34th minute to make it 2-0.
In the second half, Dion Irving, Sean Law, Michael Reid and Danny Graham came on for Dean Smith, Greig Thorburn , Connor Graham and Dean Crozier.
Chances were created and young Dion looked eager but the only real incident was an injury to Craig Murray ten minutes before the end. Dean Rea took over in goal but was not called upon. A comfortable run out for a 2008 side missing a number of regulars but an opportunity which several took to catch Stuart Rome’s eye.
